It is important that you tell us which vehicle you will be bringing when you book a visit to a recycling centre.
Please make sure you know which vehicles you can bring.
Vehicle restrictions are based on:
- potential amount of waste you can fit in the vehicle,
- potential use of the vehicle for example business use, and
- height and weight restrictions at our centres.
Vehicles you can bring to Bessemer Close
You can bring vans and cars to the recycling centre.
Vans you can bring to Bessemer Close
The following vehicles are classed as vans even if they are your household's only form of transport and are solely for domestic use.
- Small vans or camper vans that do not exceed 5m in length or 2.2m in height
- Open back pick up (covered or uncovered)
- Combi vans
- Cars with no rear windows or blacked out rear windows
Cars you can bring to Bessemer Close
- Standard cars - must have rear windows
- SUVs without an open back pick up
- People carriers - 7 seats maximum, with only the last row of seats folded
- Any disability adapted vehicle within the site size and weight limits
Cars with trailers can only be taken to Bessemer Close. Maximum trailer size is 2m x 2m.
Vehicles you can bring to Lamby Way
You can bring vans and cars to the recycling centre.
Vans you can bring to Lamby Way
The following vehicles are classed as vans even if they are your household's only form of transport and are solely for domestic use.
- Small vans or camper vans that do not exceed 5m in length or 2.2m in height
- Open back pick up (covered or uncovered)
- Combi vans
- Cars with no rear windows or blacked out rear windows
Cars you can bring to Lamby Way
- Standard cars - must have rear windows. No trailers attached
- SUVs without an open back pick up
- People carriers - 7 seats maximum, with only the last row of seats folded
- Any disability adapted vehicle within the site size and weight limits
Trailers are not accepted at Lamby Way.
Vehicles you cannot bring to a recycling centre
These vehicles are not permitted on site at our recycling centres:
- Vans exceeding site size limits
- Any vehicle exceeding 3.5t
- Sign written or commercial vehicles
- Tipper or box vehicles
If you are disposing of business recycling and waste please use our commercial recycling centre.
