We aim to provide a cost efficient option for small and medium enterprises to dispose of recycling and trade waste.
The commercial recycling centre is also open to residential properties, who may have a vehicle unsuitable for the Household Recycling Centre such as a tipper van, long wheel-base van or have mixed bags of non-recyclable waste that they're unwilling or unable to separate for recycling.
This will help to increase the amount of commercial waste diverted from landfill by encouraging traders to recycle and will also help to reduce the potential for household recycling centres being used unlawfully to dispose of commercial waste.
Who can use the service?
The service is available to all commercial businesses, but particularly targeted at small and medium enterprises, the building and construction industry, landlords and local businesses.
There is a maximum weight limit of 7.5 tonnes. This includes the vehicle and load.
The service is also available for residential properties.
You do not need to be a resident or business located within Cardiff.
Debit and Credit card payments can only be used at the Bessemer Close site.

How to use the service
Step 1
Weigh on at the Weighbridge and declare your waste type.
Step 2
Go to tip off point as directed by staff and off-load (please note that your waste will be inspected to ensure you are off-loading the waste you have declared).
Step 3
Proceed to weigh off and process paperwork.
Step 4
Pay for the waste deposited using a debit card or credit card and leave site.
As a trader you will be required to hold a waste carriers licence.
