Website upgrade on Tuesday 23 June

What we are doing to upgrade our website to improve accessibility and security for customers.

Tree protection

We will put a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) on specific trees and woodlands to help protect them.

It is illegal to fell (cut down), prune, destroy, or damage trees covered by a TPO, unless we give you permission.

Check our map for trees with preservation orders.

Find out more about tree preservation orders on the Welsh Government website.

Apply for permission

You will need to complete an application for tree works form (PDF, 242 KB).

You can send us the completed form by email or post.

If the tree or woodland you want to work on is in a conservation area, you can apply for permission using the same form.

Read the Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG) on trees and developments (10.6mb PDF) to find out how we assess development proposals that might affect trees, woodlands, and hedgerows.
