Website upgrade on Tuesday 23 June

What we are doing to upgrade our website to improve accessibility and security for customers.

Business permits

We issue business permits for on-street and off-street locations.

These can only be used for the operational running of your business. For example, for:

  • goods deliveries, or
  • providing a service.

Business permits are not for commuting to or from a workplace or to provide staff parking.

You will not be eligible if your business has its own off-street parking available.

Business permits are digital, so you will not need to display anything in your vehicle.

Types of business permits

There are 2 types of business permits.

Vehicle-specific permits

These permits are specific to a certain vehicle for the duration of the permit.

The vehicle must be registered to the business or insured for commercial or business use.

Transferable Permits

These permits are flexible and can be used for different vehicles.

You will need to change any vehicle details on MiPermit as needed.

Car parks

Your business may be eligible for permits in certain car parks. Only businesses in the surrounding streets may be eligible.

The permits can only be used in the dedicated business permit bays within the car park.

The car parks included in the scheme are:

  • Gray Street, CF11 9NE
  • Harvey Street, CF5 1QW
  • Severn Road, CF11 3DU
  • Wellington Street, CF11 9BL

Eligible businesses can apply for up to 3 permits. This can be any combination of vehicle-specific permits and transferable permits.
