We are committed to building a more sustainable future and we know we cannot do it alone.
We are working closely with other public sector organisations and our suppliers to reduce carbon emissions and embrace circular economy principles across our supply chain.
Our goal is to achieve net-zero by 2030. Every year, we report our organisational emissions to the Welsh Government. The emissions from the goods, services, and works that we purchase contribute towards approximately 80% of our carbon footprint.
Tackling supply chain emissions
Supply chain emissions are a challenge for us as they occur in the supply chain activities that we do not directly own or control.
To understand these emissions better, we need suppliers to start reporting their carbon footprints and decarbonising their operations. This helps us identify carbon hotspots and track progress towards our decarbonisation targets.
