Council performance

We want Cardiff Council to be an excellent council. To help make this happen we regularly monitor how well we're doing.

Our Corporate plan tells you what we want to achieve and how we are going to do it. It outlines our priorities and well-being objectives, these are underpinned by a set of measures and targets to be monitored each year.

Well-being objectives are strategic objectives that will ensure the Council is contributing to the delivery of the well-being goals. They are designed to maximise the contribution to the achievement of the Well-being Goals and are a mandatory requirement of the Wellbeing of Future Generations Act.

This helps us to celebrate our successes and to focus on areas where we need to do better.

We publish performance reports bi-annually over the financial year to share this information, which are reviewed by the Policy review and performance scrutiny committee and Cabinet. We also publish a Well-being report annually that assesses our performance against what we said we would do in the Corporate Plan.

The Mid-year Performance Report and the Annual Well-being Report will be published on Modern.Gov as part of Cabinet and Council papers.
