If you live in a ‘red’ street, you can park in:
- resident permit bays, and
- shared use bays.
This only applies in the street named on the permit. You cannot use your red permit to park on any other street.
If you live in a ‘blue’ area, this means you live in permit parking area that is not part of a zone.
Permit parking areas are roads where there no marked bays, but there are large regulatory signs at the beginning of the road. Any vehicles parking past these signs will need a valid permit.
As there are no road markings in permit parking areas, please make sure you check the signs at the entrance of the parking area to find out which permit you will need to park there.
This only applies in the permit parking area named on the permit. You cannot use your blue permit to park in another permit parking area.
If you live in a zonal parking area, you can park in:
- resident permit bays,
- permit holder only bays, or
- shared use bays.
This only applies within your parking zone.
Please check street signs to find out:
- which permit is eligible, and
- the times that restrictions are in place.
You can find more information on parking zones.
